Matilda Jane magic struck again when a pretty little package arrived at our doorstep. My daughter now knows that treasures await by the groovy font used on their packaging. ” The lady made a dress for me???!” she said with glee taring into the bag. Her mommy was just as excited as she pulled out the fun, funky, super comfty 3 piece outfit Matilda Jane Clothing Company sent us. In all honesty my girl is super picky these days, and for being a photographers daughter is not well coached in front of the camera. She is true to herself, lol, and wether she likes what she is wearing sets the tone for the entire day. Isn’t that true of so many of us women, as much as I lack in the fashion department- I can attest too, that when you find that perfect expression of style and comfort your day just gets a little more pep to it. Matilda Jane is all that for little girls! They are play clothes and dress clothes all in one. Relaxed and comfortable and yet bold and beautiful. They make her dance, and we get compliments on both her outfit and her smile whenever she wears Matilda Jane. Thanks again for another beautiful, inspiration set- this time you sent us to explore the greenhouse, and as you can tell from the photos above, a great time was had by all :) If you are reading this and have a little girl that you love,  both me and my little one would highly recommend Matilda Jane clothing to you. As hard as it is for this mama to wrap her head around, our little man turned six last month!  The baby who once had a hard time learning how to crawl and walk has turned into a little  super human with enough bounding energy and strength to get enough excersize for our entire family. His new obsession is Parkour, and winter has not been kind to his diligent need for practice. His bunked has become a climbing and jumping platform, our doorways his practice for scaling walls- us mama’s are often guilty of using the phrase “the kids are just climbing the walls!” well I can whole heartedly say its been true in our house this season.

Last week we went to visit some good friends in NC and enjoyed some slightly warmer weather and at least not snow covered grounds. The kiddo and I took this opportunity to take some Parkour shots outside of Target. Later this same day, buddy got the bloodiest nose and mouth I have seen yet while trying to jump through a big O sign in the mountains of Virginia. I am glad we got pics in the shirt and tie before the were drenched in blood :) Had I not been a panicking mama at the time of his fall, those shots might have been quite fitting too. Anyway, I can’t think of a better way to take a portrait of my little man than the shots above. N, may you always have the spirit of adventure and exploration that you do today- and may your confidence, faith, grace in imperfection, and patience grow stronger with each passing year. I know its just a blink of an eye until you are towering over me in hight and dreams… but you will always be my baby boy. I love you!

We want to send a HUGE THANK YOU out to Gabriel Arnold  at Pinnacle Parkour in Washington Twp., NJ. Gabe is friends with our good friend Danielle and surprised our little man with the most amazing video for his birthday! Gabriel, you have no idea what an impact you made on our aspiring Spider Man! We are so thankful that you would think to take the time and share your love and advice with out family! If anyone reading this is in South Jersey…. I highly recommend you send your kiddos his way for a lot of fun, and some great encouragement along the way!  Thank you!

Here is the awesome video from Pinnacle Parkour.

faith tree

Happy Earth day… 4 years ago this cherry tree and our little boy’s brain looked rather unhealthy. Ever since our 20 week ultrasound our son’s brain had shown abnormalities, and  at a year and half years old, after some tests at CHOP our church gathered around this little boy laying hands on him and asking God to help. After church we planted a cherry tree in faith that God had His hand on our son that day. The only problem was that the only tree left looked pretty unhealthy itself. We bought it, and planted and prayed… our “faith tree” we call it. As you can see both our boy and his faith tree are growing strong and healthy today. Our little guy has a clean bill of health from the neurologist and his tree is about to be filled with fruit. Praise be to our God, the Maker of Heaven and Earth… and the moments where we can see them meet.
